Product design from early thinking through to delivery.

For 13+ years, I’ve helped teams launch new products, improve existing ones and make better decisions about what they build. I work across product direction, UX, interface design, prototyping and front-end implementation.

Designing something new

From idea to product: I can help research the problem, define the product and turn an early idea into flows, prototypes and a clear first release.

The whole customer experience: I work across the marketing site, onboarding, core product and support, including the work outside the login.

Design and development: I work directly with engineers, prototype when useful and can contribute HTML and CSS as the product is built.

Improving an existing product

New features and workflows: I can take a feature from early questions through to a buildable design, or improve a workflow that no longer matches how customers use the product.

Customer journeys and funnels: I look at how people move from their first visit through onboarding, product use and support, then focus the work on the changes that matter.

Improving what ships: I use customer feedback, product behaviour and business results to see what’s working and decide what should change next.

Adding senior product design support

Extra capacity and ownership: I can join an existing team, pick up work independently and take responsibility for moving it from a rough idea through to delivery.

Working across the team: I work closely with product, engineering, support and marketing, especially when a change affects more than one part of the customer experience.

Product and design guidance: I can review direction, support other designers and give practical input on product strategy, roadmaps, UX and design quality.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of product design work do you take on?

I work on new products, existing features and wider customer journeys. That can mean shaping an early idea, improving a workflow, or joining a team that needs experienced design support.

Can you join an existing product team?

Yes. I can work alongside product managers, engineers and other designers, take ownership of a defined piece of work, or help across whatever needs attention.

Can you help with design and front-end implementation?

Yes. I work across product direction, UX, interface design and prototyping, and I can contribute HTML and CSS or work closely with engineers through delivery.

Do I need a polished brief?

No. A few lines about what you’re working on, where you need help and who’s involved is enough to start.

Need another experienced product designer in the mix?

Sometimes that means taking ownership of one important piece of product work. Sometimes it means joining the team for a while and helping across whatever needs attention.

You don’t need a polished brief. A few lines about what you’re working on, where you need help and who’s involved is enough to start.

Adam just ‘gets it’. It’s not just binary with him but he actually understands true user experience and the finesse of design details. He brought valuable insights that shaped the final product. Adam's a doer and a thinker.
